Network effects

The only way for a platform to grow at scale is through building a network effect into the product or service

How does the platform plan to harness network effects?

  • Indirect Network Effects: As more Educators list their immersive courses on edverse, it incentivizes more Learners to join as they have more variety of courses to choose from. As more Learners join, it increases the number of Educators interested to list their courses. Creators will also be incentivized to list more 3D assets for more Educators listed on the platform. This is a classic case of a cross sided network effect or platform network effect.

  • Direct Network Effects: This is because of peer learning, which is an important part of our education. As more students join the platform, the peer group is strengthened. edverse promotes interaction and competition amongst its students. Thus non edverse students are incentivized to join where the smart students are, and learn from each other. This is how direct network effects will help edverse grow.

  • Secondary Indirect Network Effects: As there will be a huge learning community on the platform, this will invite/ compel Promoters and advertisers to join the platform.

Additional growth incentivization thanks to EDV Token

Any user who is an owner of the EDV token will gain from the rise in value of the token. The increase in value of token is proportional to the amount of token burned which is a percentage of the revenue earned by the protocol. So all users are incentivized to bring more activity and users on the platform, which leads to more value for themselves.
